This week we worked on the letter B with the boys. Which just so happened to line up with World Bee Day! If you're looking for activities for the letter "B" to try with your little one, keep reading down below!
"B" Is For Bee
Beehive Color Sort Activity
I saved a Gatorade box and glued this beehive print out onto the cardboard. Cut out the holes and rolled up some black and yellow playdoh. You can use anything yellow and green that you have on hand, this just seemed like a fun option to me.

Bee Number Line Activity
This was a fun way to work on numbers with toddlers. Calling out a number and having the littles place the bee onto that number. Perfect for number recognition!
Buzzing Bee Sensory Bin
With black beans and navy beans that I colored with yellow paint, a few printouts, and bees from the Dollar Tree. This was a pretty fun sensory bin to throw together.
Buzzing Bee Sensory Bin
With the same materials from the last pic. This was fun putting together. The circular design was a little difficult to make, but aesthetically pleasing!

"B" is For Blue
Small Bunny's Blue Blanket Book
We got this book just in time for our everything is blue day! This was a first time read for us all and it's a really cute book!
Everything Blue Sensory Play
This sensory bin is going in my top list of easiest to throw together. With Blue crinkle paper and all the blue toys, I can find in the house, this was thrown together in less than 5 minutes and the boys loved it!
Sea Sensory Play
This was the first time I dyed popcorn kernels, which was extremely easy, and I was super excited to put them to use. So, with some table scattered sea decor, tweezers and an empty this sensory bin was created to help my little one strengthen their fine motor skills.
Honorable Mentions
This was one of those weeks where life didn't go as planned. With one protesting naptime and the other needing a million more naps throughout the day, we did a lot of improvs with our letter B activities and still had a great time learning.
"B" Is For Baby Shark
Baby Shark Puppet Craft
You really can't escape the baby shark song, and I remember it being one of my favorites to sing in summer camp growing up, so I completely relate to why my boys play and love it so much. I picked this kit up from our local store a while ago and never brought it out. This was simple and fun for my 3-year-old to follow along too and I'm a little sad I didn't grab more like these!
"B" Is For Bird
The best teacher is nature, so that's where we took our learning time for the day. There are always so pretty birds we see on our walks that it was the perfect way to teach the boys more about them as well as getting out the house and burning off some toddler energy. Days like this remind me that there are learning opportunities all around.
That concludes our B adventures for the week! If you like these activities, take a look at some others we've done in the past! And check back as I always add to our fun list!
